Fifty GAL members participated in this event giving 55 portraits, 6 photographs, one wood carving and one clay bust to the Gainesville Hospice families. Over 200 people attended the unveiling. "What is this endeavor? It is not about artists or care givers, or the pain or grief, nor is it about loneliness or mourning or the loss of life, but rather the 'Giving' and the supernatural connection that is made through the giving. With the guidance of a magnificent teacher, the artist honed their skills beyond the realm of expectations, and the riches of diciplined labors were achieved. Now the excitement of this pearl of great price takes center stage, and the lesson learned was 'IT IS ALL ABOUT THE GIVING'."
